However, some stress is necessary for life. It gives us energy and puts enough tension in your day so it flies by. So how do you know how much is enough?. And when you need to take action so doesn’t get out of hand?
I will use my standard phrase here “It depends”
It depends on you; you need to recognize the symptoms of stress as you sense things are getting out of control.
Here are some common warning signs:
- Staying up later than usual to finish things.
- Waking up earlier than normal.
- Disturbed sleep.
- Everything around you gets messier. (This is my personal early warning sign).
- You become bad tempered.
- You’ve less time for friends and family.
- Eating patterns change.
- Can’t concentrate.
The list could go on and on. The test is for you to recognize your individual signs (in advance) and use them as an early warning system. Then you need to take action to reduce the stress or find strategies to cope.
