Knowing WHEN To Do Work Can Cut Your Homework Time

by Julie Baird on November 17, 2009

We all have different energy levels at different times of day. You will get the most done in the least time if you can tap into the right task for the time.

Think about what you know about yourself. Get a feel for what times of day are best for you to do certain types of activities.

  1. Creative tasks
  2. Detailed work
  3. Working with others
  4. Research
  5. Writing papers

For instance, I know that I am best at doing detailed work in the morning, and more creative in the afternoon. I like to meet with others late afternoon when my energy flags because that gives me a boost. Your times will undoubtedly be different.

Test it out and try different times, find out what works best for you. Use that knowledge to plan your tasks into those times so you can accomplish more in less time
