If you can’t find somebody to love – Love the one you’re with

by Julie Baird on February 19, 2010

Okay, this will be my last attempt for this year to relate love to time management – I promise!

This time I want you to look inside for love.

It is always easy to identify our failings – deadlines we’ve missed, things we have lost, assignments we have messed up, times when we have spent way too long on Facebook when we should have been working etc. Plus, there never seems to be any shortage of other people who will remind you in case you forget.

In this romantic theme I have going this week; I want you to give yourself a break. Sit down and identify all the things you do well, where your strengths lie. It can be little things, like you can always find your pen; or you decorate your planner really well; or it can be bigger, like you are really good at breaking down projects and planning them. It doesn’t matter what it is.

Capture these strengths somewhere you can pull them out and look at them regularly. Add to them whenever something goes well.

Read them over whenever you are feeling down on yourself – remember one slip does not mean it is not one of your strengths.

It is much easier to be focused and effective when you are feeling positive and good about yourself.

So go on – feel the love!

If you or are struggling to control your time and get the results you know you are capable of then it is time to take action.  The Focused Time Management System TM for Students avoids all the clutter and gives you the most important things to focus on to get you back in control of your time and your life. It’s all step by step, not a big mish mash of things. So you do step one of the system, and when you’re done with that, you move on to step two, and so on. So easy!  All the tips, tools, and worksheets are handed to you on a silver platter.  E mail me at Julie@thegradecoach.com to arrange a time to chat over your issues and see if I can help.

Hey Julie, this is a great article and I’m am going to print it out and
give it to my son to read.
Actually, I think I might print an extra one for myself and re-read it often.

Great positive thinking !
