A very busy week this week has left me breathless and having to focus extra hard on my priorities. We are having our annual Burns Night Party to celebrate our Scottishness, and to try and teach all our friends how to do Scottish dances! It is a lot of fun, but needs a lot of preparation. With so much on the go at the same time I found myself wondering where to start with this mammoth task - and it came to me - elephant burgers! This is one of my favorite techniques for making tasks manageable and banishing procrastination -check out this week's article for more details.

    How Eating Elephant Burgers Can Help You Reach Your Goals

    Setting goals is a great idea, essential in fact - if you don't know where you want to go how will you know when you get there?

    But if the goal is a large one it can be very intimidating and can cause you to procrastinate. So what is the answer? Break large goals into a series of mini goals.

    Think about it - if someone told you to eat an elephant (apologies to all animal lovers everywhere) it would be a daunting task! You might not know where to start, and would likely put off starting.

    Now, if you were to break down this task and make burgers from the elephant, the task seems more manageable - you just eat one burger at a time till you're done.(Still not too good for the elephant though!)

    Look for the elephants in your workload and see how you can break them down into burger size chunks.
